Rev. Holly Adams
Minister of Congregational Care
Holly acknowledged her call to ordained ministry after a productive history in the academic and corporate worlds. Her earlier years included teaching, academic administration, corporate management and counseling. She’ll tell you that it was through her singing with church choirs and an auditioned chorale in CT that she found her faith, and through her vocational life that she learned how to practice her faith.
Born and raised in Providence RI, she lived in NYC, Hong Kong and Rowayton CT before she and her husband came to Vero Beach in 2015; they came to visit friends for a weekend, and ended up buying a condo on their first day. Before moving full-time to Vero, she served CT churches as an intentional interim senior pastor and as a settled senior pastor. Once in Vero, she served as the Pastoral Minister of a local church.
Her three adult children are scattered from upstate NY to DC, and four almost-adult grandsons, are also scattered. They, her many friends in Vero Beach, and the musical groups she sings with in Vero, and the support groups she has led have sustained her since her husband, Dan, died in 2020.
She has a BA from Smith College, an MSW from Fordham, and an MDiv from Yale Divinity School, and is a full-time resident of Vero Beach with her mini labradoodle, Phoebe.
